Moorea Hum

Moorea was born in Ottawa, Ontario, in 1985 and is of Chinese-Canadian heritage. She graduated from Mt. Allison University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007, she also has a graduate diploma in Art Therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. These disciplines, combined with her nearly two decades of tattooing, create an experience that ensures clients feel confident and cared for throughout the process.

Moorea began her tattoo apprenticeship in 2005 while completing her Fine Arts degree and started tattooing professionally in 2007. Moving from the maritimes, to Montreal to Vancouver, Moorea currently resides in Lantzville on Vancouver Island with her family and two cats, Tony and Kermit

The Studio

My private studio is located in Lantzville, on Vancouver island BC.  A cozy little spot right next to the beach, pub and several other local small businesses, it’s a peaceful place I am so lucky to work in. Only 10 minutes outside of the city of Nanaimo, all amenities are close by if you are travelling from out of town. The city bus stops right in front of my studio as well.
